I was having a talk with my cousin last night, we talked about how sometimes life throws us a curve ball, how everything doesn’t go according to plan and things just seem difficult. It was a serious conversation about how it feels like we are currently at the bottom of life’s pyramid. Yet somehow as we sat on the bathroom floor with no game plan we remembered that we had each been here before. This little cocoon of hopelessness, feeling like the walls were closing in on us and there was nothing we could do to save ourselves. We had been in that sunken place thinking we had no strength left to face the next day but somehow just somehow we turned out okay.
I really wish I could say things always go according to plan for me, and that there are alternative ways to learn certain things, but sadly there are not. There is a form of resilience that only comes from being pressured and having the air sucked from your lungs.
I know it does not seem like it right now but we will turn out okay. Remember last month when you were in a situation you thought you would not survive, and two years before that when you were in a situation you thought was definitely going to crush you? Well the same God who pulled you out those times, will pull you out of this.
Look on the bright side, I know sometimes it’s so bleak you can’t seem to see a bright side or figure out where your help will come from. God is at work, see how far you have come from the last time you felt the weight of the world on your shoulders.
You’ll be fine, His eye is on the sparrow, be sure he watches you. You might not feel His eyes, they are constantly on you nevertheless.
